UEFA Appoints Clément Turpin to Officiate Real Madrid vs Manchester City in Champions League
The UEFA has appointed French referee Clément Turpin to officiate the highly anticipated Champions League Round of 16 second leg between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
The match will take place on Tuesday, March 17, at 22:00 Cairo time at the Etihad Stadium, with fellow Frenchman Jérôme Brisard in charge of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology.
Real Madrid holds a positive record with Turpin in the Champions League, having lost only once under his supervision this season—a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabéu during the group stage. Previously, Real Madrid defeated City 3-2 in a knockout stage second-leg match at the Etihad Stadium.
